Taitem’s Senior Energy Analyst, Susan Galbraith, prepares for a balometer test for an energy audit at the Racker Center in Ithaca.

Taitem teamed up with Aaron Dennis and Sarah Highland on this round straw bale construction project for JoAnne Cipolla-Dennis. Taitem focuses on sustainable design and has been involved with several efforts to produce net zero energy buildings.
Taitem’s Vice President, Lou Vogel, on a commissioning site visit. Building commissioning is a quality assurance process necessary for the complexity of modern construction projects. Taitem has years of experience in commissioning, retrocommissioning and LEED consulting.

Assemblywoman Barbara Lifton helped Taitem install their solar panels during their 350 effort on 10/10/2010. Taitem services include PV engineering, procurement, and contracting (EPC).

Taitem Engineering provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural design (including solar PV supports) for a large renovation and addition project at the Maguire car dealership in Ithaca. Taitem also provided special inspections for all structural components during construction, LEED consulting and construction administration services. This is the first automobile dealership in the US with LEED Platinum certification.

Design Department Manager, Yossi Bronsnick, inspects the structural framing members at the Southworth Library in Dryden. Taitem provided full engineering services (mechanical, electrical, plumbing and structural) in partnership with Holt Architects.

Javier E. Rosa, PE checks out the trusses and inspects the depth of the joists at Arc of Steuben’s new office building in Bath, NY. Taitem provided full engineering services and the building received LEED silver certification.

Taitem Engineering was the Commissioning Authority for this multi-use (commercial, residential) building in Ithaca, NY. Gateway Commons recently received LEED Silver certification.

Taitem's building at 109 S Albany St. in Ithaca gets a Deep Energy Retrofit. After upgrades were completed, gas use was reduced 70%! Taitem Engineering is teaming up with Snug Planet and DOW Building Solutions on a Deep Energy Retrofit Project funded by NYSERDA.
